I would like to congratulate myself and my statemates here in Colorado for being so thin. Have a look at a map I stole from an article related to obesity drugs in a recent issue of C&E news.
And notice the only state that is blue (under 20% obesity) in the whole US in 2007. Forget obesity drugs, people need to get their fat asses outside.

I wonder if people are getting fatter that fast, or is there just more drive to show that there are actually fat people out there so obesity medications can be marketed?
One obvious flaw when talking about obesity rates is that they are based on BMI, the ratio of your weight to your height. This is stupid, because it doesn't account for increased muscle mass. Most athletes would be considered "obese" based on BMI. Maybe people are just getting more buff.
I like to think that mine is skewed heavily by my HUGE cock.
Interesting fact:
If I am removed from the calculations, the 19% of Colorado citizens in the lard ass category drops to 11%. Neat huh?
I would like to point out that Wisconsin is SURPRISINGLY not the fattest state in the Union...
Perhaps the quality of cheese, beer, and brats has dropped off in recent years.
Blasphemy!
Blasphemy is a victimless crime.
